Each of
the 20 trainee positions is unique, linked
to a department within a specific business area and a working
location. This means that each position has its own specific
responsibilities, challenges and matching profile. 

Who are you:

Whether you want a climate smarter career as an energy
specialist, visionary manager or inspirational project lead in the
energy sector, we offer you these possibilities within
the Trainee Programme. We are looking for recent
graduates with an academic agree or students who will graduate
before September 2020. You are fluent in English. Skills
in other world languages can be a merit. Furthermore, you are
willing to relocate for possible assignments throughout the
organization. Of course, you identify yourself with our
principles: active, open, positive and safe. 

As a Trainee Digital Customer
Experience Engineer you recognize yourself in the following
qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT
    or similar
  • Focus and first experience on IT
    Technology (ideally already experience in Microsoft Tech stack like
    Azure and .Net)
  • Passionate to translate our customer’s
    needs into IT solutions and able deliver top notch digital
    solutions 
  • Eager to become a crucial and integral
    part of our Digital Experience Team within IT
  • Willing to continuously learn new
    things, regardless whether it is a new programming language or
    cross-device usability best practices
  • Able to understand business and
    customer requirements and the ambition to turn them into scalable
    and cost-effective IT solutions

What do we expect from you as a Trainee Digital Customer
Experience Engineer

This position is located in
Vattenfall’s German Customer IT department which designs, develops
and maintains leading IT solutions that further boost our ability
to grow into digital solutions and products enabling our
end-consumers to “become fossil free within one generation”! You
are part of an agile software development team where you
contribute, shape and facilitate our DevOps journey.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand and translate business
    requirements into cost-effective solutions
  • Design, implement and maintain stable
    and robust solutions
  • Build, test and deploy software within
    an agile team
  • Follow and interpret architectural
    guidelines and security principles
  • Constantly challenge the status-quo
    and strive for operational excellence

Programme is the kickstart of your career within Vattenfall. You
will have the opportunity to develop your professional and personal
skills over the course of a year. In the Trainee Programme you will
take part in international workshops and site visits during the
