Job description
We are looking for anaesthesiologists with experience from both ICU
and operating activities as one as an on-call / stand-by duty must
master both ICU and operation. No requirement for specialization.
Good opportunities for further development within the clinic. We
have 2 house-bound on-call lines. Trauma reception hospital.

Description of the clinic
SÄS currently performs about 13,000 operations and has a large
breadth of activities. More and more procedures are performed in
the day surgery activity. Another part of the business that is
steadily increasing is Anaesthesia in connection with X-ray and
endoscopic procedures, this together with emergency alarms and
transports between hospitals are activities that affect the
planning of activities at our operating units. The Anaesthesia
Clinic conducts acute and planned activities in Borås and planned
endoscopic activities in Skene.

The business is conducted on
– IVA: 9 places and completely newly renovated, well equipped.

– Operation 1: with 10 operating rooms of which 3 emergency
rooms. Operating specialties are upper and lower Gastro-surgery,
Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology including major Obstetrics, Vascular
Surgery, Eyes, Tooth and Jaw Surgery, Urology. Operations of
children. Large postoperative unit connected to Operation 1.
– Operation 2: with 4 rooms. Purely elective activities, primarily
in surgery, ENT and
Gynaecology. Has its own pre-and post-operation.
– External anaesthesia on Endoscopy unit and on X-ray.
– Pain unit that works with acute and postoperative pain as well as
some pain reception.

Description of the hospital
Södra Älvsborgs Hospital (SÄS) is one of five hospital groups in
Västra Götaland Region. There are a broad range of medical
procedures, extensive research and several educational care
departments. Most of the care is provided in Borås, but we are also
located in Skene.
The hospital is a medium-sized county hospital with about 350,000
people in the catchment area. There are 4,100 employees in 120
different professions at the hospital. Close collaboration with
Sahlgrenska University Hospital exists in several areas.

Employment’s start
Probationary employment of 50% for 6 months when one has reached B2
level in Swedish. Meanwhile, language teaching continues. At the
end of the probationary period, one is expected to have reached C1
level and is then offered permanent employment.
Salary
Once one has reached B2-level, they move to Borås and start a trial
period as an assistant doctor with 50% language training and 50%
clinical introduction until C1-level is reached and legitimation is
obtained. Salary during this time is SEK 46,000 / month. After the
probation period new salary setting as a specialist based on
experience from SEK 56,000 (individual)
New dialogue on salary after one year and there also individual
salary setting up to 60-70.000 SEK or even more.

• Assistance in finding school/kindergarten for the children

• The employer offers a moving allowance. The employee must apply
for a quote from at least three moving companies and present it to
the employer before the move is made.
